The cult

The cult is a fanatical religious cult led by Christabella. It is shown in the movie that they were founded by Puritanical witch hunters and they believe they are "the chosen ones" who must keep themselves pure by actively rooting out and burning the "witch". The town of Silent Hill was founded by an older version of the cult and they largely controlled the town at the time of the great fire in 1974.

The cult's main symbol is a combination of three crosses.
