Immaculate conception

The conception of the Virgin Mary in which as decreed in Roman Catholic dogma her soul was preserved free from original sin by divine grace.

The term 'immaculate conception' is used in the context of Silent Hill as someone born without a father; i.e., the child of a supernatural force.
