Silent Hill 4 Confirmed? - Courtesy of C&VG.com
With the third instalment of Konami's stunning horror series still months away, we can reveal that preliminary work
is underway on number four.
People of a nervous disposition should look away now, as we can exclusively reveal that auditions have already
taken place for the vocal parts of Silent Hill 4, a new addition to the terrifying
survival-horror series.
In an interview with our very own PC Zone magazine, singer and voice actor Donna Burke - who plays the role of
Angela Orosco in Silent Hill 2: Director's Cut, and 30-year old cult leader Claudia,
in the forthcoming Silent Hill 3 - confirmed a fourth part in the acclaimed series:
"I've just auditioned and will resume my work with Konami in Silent Hill 4.
With a shroud of secrecy still resting over much of Silent Hill 3, such a revelation
is doubtless something Konami would have preferred to have kept under wraps for some time. Oops. Careless talk,
and all that, eh?
When we contacted Konami earlier today, a spokesperson issued an unsurprising, "No comment!" There's no word on
potential formats yet, of course, but since SH2: Director's Cut appeared on Xbox, in addition to a Sony version,
place your bets now. But don't expect to hear anything more on Silent Hill 4 anytime
soon. Silent Hill 3, however, is scheduled to release on PS2 this autumn.
For a full and in-depth look at voice-acting in the games industry, check out the February edition of PC Zone magazine.
